In 1999, the sneaker industry was in its experimental era. You see, in ‘97 we got the Nike Foamposite, and in ‘95 Tinker Hatfield added patent leather to the Jordan 11. So, in that same spirit, Nike jumped into 1999 with another ‘posite baby, the Nike Flightposite 1. The legendary Eric Avar designed the silhouette and took inspiration from the human body. For example, the blow-molded composite upper featured lines and details that mirrored muscle tissues and fiber. And according to Avar, this makes the shoes a flawless extension of the foot. Sizing:
